Welcome to Sauce Bistro

We are a neighborhood Bistro, owned and operated by Chef Stuart McGill and Sommelier Misa Ohshige. Our little 30-seat place brings locals, families, and friends together with great food and genuine hospitality.

What is Sauce Bistro?

It is a fusion of influences — where European, Asian and other world cooking styles meet local Australian ingredients.

Our team is the “Modern Australian” with diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences from across the globe, we’ve all made Brisbane our home. Together, we share our passion for hospitality through dishes crafted from fresh local produce and take pride in keeping as much as possible in-house.

Our beverage program is carefully curated to elevate every dining experience, 120 wines to explore—small producers, organic and biodynamic farming, and of course internationally recognized producers are listed. We are wine focused but also offer Sakes to uniquely match every dish. A thoughtful range of house cocktails and craft beers, so everyone feels welcome, even if you’re on the wagon.
